careBookkeeping builds technology and services that empower care-based businesses to achieve financial clarity and compliance. As a Bookkeeper, you'll join a team dedicated to simplifying and securing financial operations for our clients, from monthly reconciliation to insightful reporting.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of care-based businesses.
- Reconcile accounts, process transactions, and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Collaborate with CPAs, clients, and internal teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Review and categorize expenses, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and audit materials.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of new financial tools and workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a client-facing or multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with both clients and team members.
- Desire to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
- Bonus: Experience with care-based businesses or regulatory compliance.
